Run your own numbers first

Insurance companies speak insurance. We translate. These free tools turn the rules that drive your costs and deadlines into plain answers, so you walk into any decision, or any conversation with us, with a plan instead of a guess. Every tool runs in your browser. No email walls, ever.

Education is the entry point

Why we give the answers away

Kate's philosophy is simple: you can't make a confident insurance decision until you understand your own numbers, and you shouldn't have to trade your email address to see them. So each tool here answers one real question, shows its work, and hands you a plan. When you're ready for a human to verify the details, You Don't Have to Figure It Out Alone.

Tools last updated August 18, 2026. Figures reflect published 2026 amounts.

From numbers to a plan

A tool gets you close. A person gets it right.

These calculators are honest about what they are: education. They use the published 2026 figures, they run privately in your browser, and they will get you within sight of your real answer. What they can't do is check your doctors against a network, run your medications through a formulary, or catch the exception that happens to fit your life. That's the part we do, and it costs you nothing extra. Start with a tool, then bring us your numbers and we'll verify them against the plans you can actually buy. If you're brand new to all of this, our plain-English answers library and starter kit are good first stops.

FAQ

About these tools

Are these tools really free?

Yes. No fee, no account, no email wall. Kate built this site on the idea that education comes first, and a tool you have to pay for with your inbox isn't education. If a tool leads you to want a licensed agent's help, that conversation is free too.

Do you store the numbers I type in?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Your income, your dates, your checkboxes never leave your device, and we can't see them. The only information we ever receive is what you choose to send us through the contact form.

How accurate are the results?

Each tool uses the published 2026 figures and rules and is updated when those change, so the math is honest. But they're estimates built for education, not official determinations. Final eligibility and pricing always depend on Marketplace and Medicare rules, carrier underwriting, and your documentation, which is exactly what we verify for clients.

Why these tools exist

Built because guessing costs real money

Kate built these calculators around the questions clients actually bring her: penalties they didn't know existed, IRMAA cliffs one Roth conversion away, Medigap quotes that look identical until year seven. Run the numbers, then bring them to a real conversation.

Talk with a real person

Ran your numbers? Let's pressure-test them.

Send us what a tool told you and a licensed agent will verify it against the real plans, networks, and rules that apply to you. Free, no pressure, and usually the same day.
